Joshua Bryan Baker is a Nashville-based visual artist, photographer, and experimental filmmaker originally from Vero Beach, Florida. His work explores perception, memory, identity, and the passage of time through analog photography and moving images.
Drawing from a background in neuroscience, psychology, and scientific research, Josh approaches photography as both an artistic practice and an investigation into the nature of observation. Through unconventional photographic processes, multiple exposures, and experimental manipulation of film, he challenges photography’s traditional relationship with time and representation.
His work moves between documentary realism and abstraction, exploring not simply what the world looks like, but what it feels like to experience it.
